💡 The Role
Seeking a part-time intern to work at Schematic Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm located in San Francisco. The intern will become an integral part of the fund's day-to-day operations and investment process, working closely with the full Schematic team in attending new pitches, conducting diligence, and sharing views on investment opportunities. Responsibilities will also include summarizing potential deal opportunities and extensive market research.
The internship will provide deep exposure to venture capital, the technology industry, and the startup ecosystem. Candidates will gain experience in all aspects of the deal-making process, from sourcing to investment to portfolio management, and will gain access to our network of leading VCs in New York, San Francisco, and across the country.
The internship will begin in October 2023, with the possibility of continuing in the Spring and converting to a full internship in the Summer.
🔑 About the Role
- Work remotely/ in-person with a 10-hour commitment per week
- Research emerging market opportunities and develop investment themes
- Assist with identifying, sourcing, and evaluating new opportunities
- Produce detailed financial analysis and investment due diligence (including business analysis, competitive landscape review, financial modeling, and deal structuring)
- Work in a strategic capacity with portfolio companies
- Ideal for a 1st or 2nd year MBA student looking to enter venture capital

- Legally qualified to work in the US
